Introduction to productivity in Onetrace

The Productivity tab in Onetrace helps you monitor and evaluate the performance of your team, individual operatives, and projects. It provides a financial overview across any chosen timeframe, giving you clear insights into efficiency, utilisation, and areas for improvement.

By regularly tracking productivity, you can:

  • Evaluate the efficiency of your members, teams, and projects

  • Identify areas for improvement to set meaningful goals

  • Allocate resources more effectively and analyse revenue generated per project


Productivity overview

The Productivity tab is designed to give you an overview at three levels:

  • By Member – Track how much each operative contributes daily, weekly, or monthly, including completed job sheets and associated costs.

  • By Team – View the productivity of entire teams, the members within them, and the costs or revenue they generate.

  • By Project – Analyse individual projects to see which clients or jobs are delivering the most value.

You can also pull Excel reports for offline analysis and apply filters to focus on specific clients or projects (e.g., “Operative A over the last month”).

Productivity Cards

Your dashboard provides a snapshot of key metrics for the selected timeframe:

  • Active Projects – Number of projects with work carried out

  • Active Members – Number of members working across projects

  • Job Sheets – Number of job sheets created

  • Rates– Financial totals based on your rate groups

Each card displays the total for your chosen date range.

💡 If you can’t see your rates, you’ll need to set up rate groups first.

Date Range

The date range selector allows you to track productivity over custom timeframes and compare performance to previous periods.

Examples include:

  • Today → compared to the same time yesterday

  • This Week (Mon–Today) → compared to the same period last week

  • Last 7 Days → compared to the previous 7 days

  • This Month → compared to the same time last month

  • Last 30 Days → compared to the previous 30 days

  • Custom → select your own start and end dates, and compare against the equivalent previous range

💡 Productivity percentages are always compared to the same type of timeframe. For example, selecting “This Month” compares the current month with the same point last month.
