The Onetrace site address and what.3.words integration ensures your team can pinpoint exact locations with absolute certainty. You’ll find these tools within Site manager, keeping your essential project details organised in one place.

  • Precision: identify any 3mx3m square globally using a unique three word address.

  • Efficiency: replace complex coordinates or vague street addresses with simple, accurate references.

💡 If you started a project before 5 February 2026, you will need to update existing site addresses to activate the what.3.words functionality. This ensures all project locations are confirmed and precise.

Add and update a site address

How to add or update a site address:

  1. Select your project.

  2. Click Project setup in the top right-hand corner of you screen.

  3. Select Site Manager from the drop-down or access the address via project details.

  4. Click the Details button on the right-hand side.

  5. If the address is not added, select Add site address in the sidebar.

  6. To update an existing address, hover over it in the sidebar and click the Pencil icon to edit.

  7. A modal will appear.

  8. Type the address into the search bar and select the correct result, or enter details manually if it doesn't appear.

  9. Click Next to verify the location.

  10. Confirm the location on the what3words map; if it's incorrect, use the Find location on what3words button to find the precise 3x3m square.

  11. Copy and paste the code into Onetrace and click Save.
