Introduction to Insights

See how your job sheets, visits and timesheets are tracking, compared with the period before.

Written by Admin

Insights summarises job sheet, photo, rate, visit and timesheet activity across your projects and operatives. Pick a timeframe and Insights compares it with the period before, so you can see what's changed without exporting anything.

  • See everything in one place: activity across every project and operative, on one screen.

  • Spot changes fast: every figure shows how it compares with the previous period.

  • Find who's driving the numbers: rank operatives and projects, then open the records behind any figure.

💡 Insights is available on Onetrace Max or Traceability & Workforce packages together. It's web only, so it doesn't appear in the mobile app.

Open Insights and choose your view

There's nothing to set up. Insights uses the job sheets, visits and timesheets already in Onetrace, and the layout is the same for everyone.

How to open Insights

  1. Select Insights in the left-hand menu of the web app.

  2. Choose a tab: Job Sheets or Visits & Timesheets.

Timeframe—the period your figures cover

  1. Choose Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days, Last 60 days, Last 90 days, This month or This year.

Each figure compares your chosen timeframe with the period of the same length just before it. For example, choose the last 30 days and you’ll see them set against the 30 days before that. Choose “This year” in November 2026 and you’ll see November 2025 to November 2026 set against November 2024 to November 2025.

Project filter—narrow Insights to one or more projects

  1. Open the Project filter.

  2. Select the project you would like to see, you can only select one project to view at a time.

  3. To go back to every project, clear the filter.

Your timeframe and filter are saved in the page address, so you can copy the link and share the same view with a colleague.

Figures are built from a daily summary of activity, so today's work may not appear until the following morning.

Rankings

Who and what is driving the numbers:

  1. Scroll to the By operative and By project rankings.

  2. Use the menu on a ranking to change the measure, for example from job sheets created, photos captured, and rate groups if set up.

  3. Select View all to open the full table.

The By project ranking shows your top 100 projects for each measure. If you have more than 100 projects, use the project filter to check one that isn't listed.

Drilldowns

The records behind a figure:

  1. Select a figure, a point on the chart or a row in a ranking.

  2. A table opens with the records behind it. Drill down into the table further by filtering by client, project, operative, and status.
