Learn how to add new materials within your Onetrace materials library.

Adding materials to your projects will enable you to create a centralised database to track your material usage, rates and charges across all projects.

This guide will walk you through the necessary steps to help you add materials to your library.


Steps To Add Materials

1. Log into your account at app.onetrace.com

2. Choose the Library tab using the left navigation bar.

3. Click the Materials tab.

4. Click the three dots from the top right side of your screen.

5. Click the + Add Material button.

6. In the blank column, input the name of the material.

7. Using the dropdown menu, select the Input Type.

☝️ The selection of the input type determines the method for recording measurements for the chosen material.

8. Using the dropdown menu, select the Material Group.

9. Using the dropdown menu, select the Material Tags.

10. Click the Upload Files button to upload attachments (data sheets, instructions)

✨ You can now:

  • Choose to add this material to all existing projects by selecting "add to all existing projects"

  • Choose to add this material to all existing templates by selecting "add to all existing templates"

11. Click the Add Material button to finish.

Adding and managing materials in Onetrace is now easier than ever. You can populate your materials library to keep an updated list of materials that are being used across your projects along with the charges and rates.
