Create and manage clients with contacts

How to add and edit client details within Onetrace.

The Clients section in your Onetrace account serves as the central hub for managing all your client and contact information.

  • Clients can include main contractors, companies, or individuals to whom you provide services

  • Easily add new clients to your account, giving them visibility into project progress

  • Enhance transparency and ensure your entire workflow remains clear, traceable, and well-documented


Add clients and contacts

How to add clients and contacts:

  1. Select Clients from the left-hand sidebar

  2. Click the + Add Client button in the top right-hand corner

  3. Add the clients name, we recommend adding the full legal name for the company or person for compliance

  4. Click the Add Client button to finish

  5. To add contacts to your clients, click into the client name

  6. Navigate to the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner, this is also where you can edit, archive or delete a client

  7. Select Contacts from the dropdown

  8. If this is your first contact click the + Add contact button in the centre of your screen, if you have already created a contact click + Add contact button in the right hand side of the screen

  9. Add your contacts first and last name, we recommend using the legal name for the contact for compliance

  10. Add a phone number and email address

  11. Click Add contact to save the information to the Client

How to edit and manage client and contact details:

  1. Select Clients from the left sidebar.

  2. Search for the client by name and click to open their profile.

  3. Use the filters to check your archived list if the client does not appear.

  4. Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the client page to open the menu.

  5. Manage specific details using the dropdown options:

    • Contacts: Select a contact name to update their details, then click Save changes.

    • Edit client: Change the client name.

    • Archive client: Move the client to your archive.

    • Delete client: Permanently remove the client.

โš ๏ธ A client can only be deleted when there are no active jobs assigned to that client on any device.
