Moving pins on drawings
How to move a pin to a different drawing in the desktop app:
To move pins across drawings, click on the location (pin) you would like to move within the Locations tab.
A sidebar will appear with a preview of the drawing at the top of the sidebar.
Hover over the drawing and two buttons will appear.
Click Move Pin.
A pop-up will appear with the current drawing.
Use the filters at the top of the modal to switch between the blocks and levels, and switch between the drawings on the level if there are multiple, to choose the drawing for the pin to sit on.
Double check the pin is the right location on the drawing.
Click Update to move the pin.
Pin movement is limited for operatives to prevent accidental changes to locations that have already been verified or linked to multiple job sheets.
Who can move pins?
Admins and managers: Can move any pin across all projects.
Operatives: Can move pins only when setting up a new job sheet or if they hold "manage project" permissions.
Why is my pin locked?
If you are an operative and cannot move a pin, it is likely because:
The pin was pre-dropped by an admin to mark a specific work area.
The pin is part of a recurring inspection; once a location is established, the pin remains fixed for all future remedial or survey work to ensure consistency.
Update an Operatives project permissions
How to update an operatives project permissions:
Head to Projects in the left-hand sidebar.
Select the project where you want to update operative permissions.
Click the Members button in the top right-hand corner.
Search for the operative you want to update.
Click the arrow next to Options by the operative's name.
Enable the specific permissions using the toggles:
Create jobs: allow the operative to create their own jobs within a project, alongside scheduled work.
Manage project: allow the operative to move pre-dropped pins, move pins with completed job sheets attached, and edit submitted job sheets.
