Locations show where work needs to happen on a project. When drawings are uploaded, they appear as pins on the plan. Without drawings, references and attributes define each location.

  • Update locations in real time so operatives always have the right details on site.

  • Use bulk update to make quick changes across multiple locations.

Edit individual locations

How to edit a location:

  1. Open the project containing the location you want to update.

  2. Go to the Locations tab.

  3. Select the location you’d like to edit.

  4. In the sidebar on the right, click Edit in the top corner.

  5. A window will open with several fields. The Location status and Variation will always show.

  6. Additional fields depend on the location reference and any attributes set for the project. Learn more about attributes.

  7. Click Save changes to update the location details.

Bulk edit locations

How to bulk edit locations:

  1. Open the project containing the locations you want to update.

  2. Go to the Locations tab.

  3. Tick the checkboxes beside the locations you’d like to update. To select all, tick the box next to Location No. at the top of the table.

  4. A toolbar will appear at the bottom of your screen.

  5. Select Edit locations from the toolbar.

  6. A sidebar will open on the right, showing location details.

  7. The Location status and Variation fields will always be visible. Other fields depend on the location reference and any attributes set for the project. Learn more about attributes.

  8. To update a field, use the dropdown menu to choose an option:

    • Replace existing value with… — change the field’s information. Depending on the field type, you can select from a dropdown or type the new value.

    • Remove current value (attribute fields only) — clear the field, leaving that information for the location blank.

  9. When you’re done, click Update in the top-right corner of the sidebar.
