When you generate a PDF report in Onetrace, a summary page now appears straight after the cover—giving anyone reading the report a clear, at-a-glance view of what's inside. Admins control what shows on this page from project setup, so every report reflects how your want to present work from site.
Instant context: give clients and auditors a clear snapshot of a report's contents before they get into the detail.
Configurable by project: choose what appears on the summary page in project setup, so it suits how each project's reports get used.
⚠️ This feature is currently in Beta trial whilst the product team gather feedback. If you are interested or would like to learn more please contact our support team.
Configure the summary page
You configure the summary page from within a project. We recommend setting up your custom location statuses and location attributes before work starts. If you'll use the same statuses and attributes across projects, set them up in a project template first—it'll save you time when creating new projects.
Report summary section | Description | Setup |
Location status summary | Groups and counts locations by custom status, using the status colour. | How to add custom statuses to a project |
Location attributes | Groups, counts and shows percentages for yes/no, select and multi-select location attributes. | How to add location attributes to a project |
Form fields | Groups, counts and shows percentages for the yes/no, select and multi-select form fields you choose. | How to add and customise forms to a project |
Locations table | Shows selected columns from the locations table. Location reference always shows; choose up to 6 columns, with at least 2 recommended. | — |
Job sheet table | Shows selected columns from the job sheet table. Choose up to 6 columns, with at least 2 recommended. | — |
How to configure the report summary page
Choose the project you'd like to add a report summary to from the left-hand sidebar.
Navigate to Project setup from the top right-hand corner.
Select Report summary from the dropdown.
Five sections make up the report summary page. You can configure each one:
Location status summary—number, percentage and colour per status
Enable the toggle to include the location status summary on the report.
(Optional) Choose whether to include statuses with no locations in the results.
Set up custom statuses, including colours, in the Locations section of project setup.
Location attribute breakdown—number and percentage per attribute
Enable the toggle to include location attributes.
(Optional) Choose whether to include locations with no attributes attached.
Select which attributes to include by clicking Select attributes. If you don't see this button, your attributes may be text or number type—only yes/no, select and multi-select attributes can appear on the summary page.
Form field breakdown—number and percentage of field use
Enable the toggle to include form fields.
(Optional) Choose whether to include fields that weren't filled in on site.
Select the forms and fields you'd like to include. If you don't see the option to select forms, the project may not have any forms yet.
A modal will open so you can select fields within each form. Forms are greyed out if they don't contain any yes/no, select or multi-select fields.
Tick the fields you need, or use Select all or Deselect all.
Click Save to add these fields to the summary page.
Locations table—choose which columns to show
Enable the toggle to include columns from the locations table.
Add columns from the Add columns section. Choose at least 1, though we recommend 2–3 to get the full benefit. You can select up to 6, due to the width of an A4 PDF.
To reorder columns, click the six dots next to a column name and drag it into place.
To remove a column, hover over its name in the active column box and click the minus button.
Job sheet table—choose which columns to show
Enable the toggle to include columns from the job sheet table.
Generate a PDF report with the summary page
Click Get report from a job, job sheets or locations tab in a project.

Choose a combined PDF of all job sheets or locations, or a zip file with a separate PDF for each sheet.
Select the report order:
Sheet no. (oldest to newest)
Location no. (oldest to newest)
Started at (oldest to newest)
Review which summary options you've configured—you can enable or disable any of them here.
