Clock in the way you always do—Onetrace makes sure your hours land on the right visit. If you're sent to a site with nothing planned, like a reactive call-out, the app adds an unplanned visit for you. If more than one visit matches, the app asks you to pick one.
No extra steps: Clock in as normal and Onetrace sorts out the visit.
Your hours in the right place: Your manager sees the right time against the right job.
⚠️ This feature is currently in Beta whilst our product team gathers feedback, if you would like to learn more please contact our support team.
💡 Before you start: Make sure you are on at least version 12.11 of the Onetrace app.
Clock in when more than one visit matches
How to pick the right visit
Go to My Time and tap the clock-in icon on the project. You can also clock in from the site picker or the timesheet screen.
Confirm your location if the app asks.
On Select a visit, tap the visit you're on.
Finish clocking in.
You'll need to pick a visit before you can clock in. To skip this, open the visit from your home screen or Visits and tap Start visit. Not sure which one? Check with your manager before you clock in.
Find your unplanned visits
Unplanned visits have a striped bar. You'll see them:
On your home screen, in the visits widget.
On the Visits screen (tap Show all on the home screen).
In My Time, when you open a project.
You can view them, but not edit them. If something's wrong, like the wrong site, ask your manager to fix your timesheet.
Good to know
Working offline—clock in as normal
Your unplanned visit appears once the app syncs. If your visit was deleted while you were offline, your time goes on a matching visit or a new unplanned one.
Job sheets—clock in first
Job sheets only show on a visit if you were clocked in when you created them.
Clocking out—do it at the end of every shift
If you forget, job sheets you create the next day go on the visit you first clocked in to. On night shifts, anything you fill in after midnight stays with that shift, which is correct.
