This guide provides an overview of the Projects tab. It explains how to set up, manage, and remove projects from your organisation to help you manage your work more efficiently.


An Overview of the Projects Tab

The Projects tab within your Onetrace account is your central hub for managing project-related information. Projects represent the work that your teams are carrying out in real time.

1. Active Project

Once in the Projects tab, the filter drop-down provides access to your Active Projects and Archived Projects

You can toggle between filters to view your Active and Archived projects.

Once you are inside a project, the Add Filter drop-down will provide the option to view your project details by:

  • Reference

  • Operative

  • Form

  • Scheduled Date

  • When Created

Once you are inside a project, the Status drop-down will provide the ability to filter your projects by their job status:

  • All

  • Awaiting

  • In Progress

  • Completed

  • Cancelled

The + Create Project button enables you to create a project.

You can either choose a Template from the drop-down menu or opt to proceed without one by checking the box next to 'I don't need a template'.

The Details section will enable you to add the following information:

  • Project Name

  • Client (you can select from the drop-down menu or create a new one)

  • Site Address

The Drawing tab will enable you to either create a project with or without drawings.

Use the Schedule Job button to schedule work for this project.

The Jobs tab will enable you to:

  • View all the job sheets associated with this particular project.

  • Edit particular job sheets by simply clicking on the desired job sheets to modify them.

  • Generate reports by clicking the Get Report button for a specific job sheet.

Use the Setup Approvals button to create an approval stage for a specific project.

The Drawings tab will enable you to:

  • View your pre-dropped pins/locations from this tab.

  • Manage your drawings by clicking on the three dots adjacent to each one.

  • Edit the blocks, levels and drawings by using the Site Manager button.

The Locations tab will enable you to:

  • View all the existing locations within a project.

  • Generate reports by clicking the Get Report button for a specific location.

The Specifications tab will enable you to:

  • View any specifications that have been added to a specific project.

  • Click the + Add Specification button to create a new specification.

14. Project Setup

The Docs & Files tab will enable you to view/do the following:

  • View all the docs & files added to a specific project.

  • Click the New Folder button to create a new folder for your files and signed documents.

  • To Rename, Edit, Access or Delete a folder, click the three dots adjacent to the folder of your choice.

The Project Setup dropdown is an overall admin panel you can use to add additional information to your projects, such as:

  • Project Details

  • Forms

  • Jobs

  • Locations

  • Specifications

  • Materials & Rates

  • Protect Approvals

  • Site Manager

15. Create Similar Project

18. Delete Project

To create a similar project, click the Create Similar Project button.

To save a project as a template, click the Save as Template button.

To archive a project, click the Archive Project button.

To delete a project, click the Delete Project button.
